Good times.

Firstly: I am aware that my foreigndestiny photobucket account is inactive. I would take care of this, except that it is one of three photobucket accounts I have, and I can't remember what e-mail is associated with it, so I can't log in and reactivate it. Balls.

Secondly: A meme about being a girl that I've seen floating around lately, because I'm bored and memes entertain me. ( Makeup, shoes, shopping! )

On the same track, I've been making eyes at Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab lately, and have decided that if I find a job soon I will reward myself with Arkham and Embalming Fluid and maybe Zombi. I am toying with the idea of purchasing Cthulhu just so I can say I'm wearing Cthulhu, but for fifteen dollars a bottle I think I'd rather have Arkham.

I mentioned this to my mother yesterday. I don't think her eyes have rolled back out of the top of her head yet.

Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters.

-- How far in are you?
About seventy pages. Normally I'd gobble it up in half a day or so, but I'm trying to savor it.

-- What's it about?
It's Sense and Sensibility. With sea monsters. The plot is more or less the same (you'd be surprised how little they had to change it), but instead of only having to worry about that harlot Lucy Steele and Willoughby's faithlessness the Dashwoods also have giant, malefic cephalopods and the Devonshire Fang-beast to contend with.

Fuuuuck. Much as I liked Marianne, I spent much of the book wanting to kick Willoughby's teeth out, so the idea that I might like similar men is depressing. This is pretty accurate, though, at least considering that I really don't resemble any of her other heroines.

Soon I am going to order a new CPU. 'New' in the sense that it's new to me, not that it's new from a store. Most likely it will be from eBay.

but this meme floating around my flist caught my interest, so here goes. ( I love the smell of controversy. )

That wasn't especially controversial. We've covered at least half of it on GoS already.

I bought a Halloween costume today, even though since I'm in the wrong state I can't take the kids trick-or-treating. My main criteria when purchasing a costume are 1) that it not make me look fat and 2) that I won't be ashamed to wear it again in public sometime in the future, since it's rather a waste to shell out forty or fifty bucks for something I'll only wear once.

With that in mind, I am a 'gothic devil'. From what I can tell, it is 'gothic' because it's mostly red with black detailing, and 'devil' because a headband with little felt horns was included as an afterthought. I have no intention of wearing that, but how could I pass up a red corset dress with a tulle skirt and black puff sleeves?

I will totally wear it out in public past Halloween. Not sure what that says about me. Probably that I enjoy embarrassing my family.

I'm sure no matter how I do it, it'll be wrong. In any case, I stole this from aikea_guinea, who stole it from fated_oph3lia and brilliantcat...
