Songs.
Actually, I think if I were a song I'd be 'O mio babbino caro', from Gianni Schicchi, but I no longer have the version of it I like best and I can't find it on Youtube. So, instead, the next most fitting, in accordance with
pooklet's rules:
- Just post "If I were a song I'd be this one" with a link to the song.
- The link can be a song uploaded to a file sharing site or on Youtube or pretty much anywhere.
If I were a song, I'd be this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ne28N4HcaeI
I've done quite a bit of messing with music today. Instead of actually working on the damn story I decided I'd make a playlist to listen to while I work on it, since for some reason I always have to do that.
Which was brought me across that song again in the first place; I ended up choosing it as one of the songs describing Orianna. Consequently I spent ten minutes worrying that she was becoming a self-insert, but I've concluded that 1) the song describes a different aspect of her than it does me, and 2) if she does start turning into a self-insert, I can count on the Best Friend and on
pooklet and
ugly_kitties to tell me so.
I expect this will keep me busy for the rest of today, seeing how anal I am about getting my sound tracks ~*perfect*~. Also, I am proud of myself. My instinct when selecting songs for my villains is to fling myself at my nineteen-plus hours of Marilyn Manson music. (Boyfriend's fault. He has every song Manson has ever released.) I ended up using Nightwish instead. Go me.
Also, I managed not to use four hundred Smashing Pumpkins songs this time, either. I might wish that Billy Corgan would either die or be struck mute, but I have to admit Pumpkins cover a lot of stuff in their songs and, damn them, they are useful.
I lied, I found a recording of it on Youtube while composing this entry. What I wouldn't give to have pipes like Renata Tebaldi.
