Like last time, let's just jump in right where we left off.

In this case, )

And that is the end of that nonsense for today! However, I have some previews to share for up-and-coming things; I've actually felt like making stuff lately, holy crap.

OH MY GOSH LET ME SEE )

Yes indeed, spares. Soon there will be gen. 3 spares to deal with and I didn't want to get to them without at least acknowledging that Bo and Gershwitz still exist. Also, I decorated their houses and I like the decorating! There isn't quite as much commentary as usual but maybe that is a good thing?

So. Spares! )

Dear maker of secret #10: thank you, you legit made my day. ♥ (Yeah, I do reply to every comment, or try to. It makes me happy when people acknowledge my comments so I do the same!)

So, as long as I'm posting, do you guys mind a very brief round of "anyone want this?" I made some book defaults for myself, and they're very much tailored to my game and tastes, but in case there's anyone else out there who'd like their sims to be able to study from The Encyclopedia of Monsters, I thought I'd ask:

From left to right and top to bottom, it's reference, sci-fi, mystery, children's, drama, romance, and cooking. Leisure isn't displayed because I couldn't figure out how to get a sim to read it but it's another pulp paperback. All in separate packages, for mixing and matching! I meant to make them all one big package but had a brainfart I guess. Like I said, tailored to my own (questionable) tastes.

Upcoming:

I say "upcoming" because my computer is still dead in the water. [personal profile] pooklet was nice enough to get previews for me, but the mesh and recolor are still on said dead computer.

By the way, thanks for the birthday wishes. :)

In progress:

As suggested to me in chat by [livejournal.com profile] jamessunder1and.

My life is pretty boring.

I hope everyone who celebrates Thanksgiving had a good one. Mine was spent with my Aunt Mollie's family, as she and my mother have been ostracized from the rest of their siblings (no great loss, really). We ate mushroom stuffing and watched The Full Monty and I finished my little boy's Christmas gift. It was a much nicer time than I usually have on holidays.

Otherwise, I've been watching Star Wars from the beginning whilst I crochet and thinking about how I would make a shitty Jedi (seeing as I tend to vomit emotions). I wouldn't mind being a Sith, but I'd rather have a green lightsaber than a red one. I've also worked on converting a hair:

No one is going to believe me when I say I really don't like this mesh, will they? (Which is a lie, I guess. I do like it on girls.) There's still a gaping hole in the back, but it looks good enough from the front, I think.

- conversions to AF, TF, TM of a bunch of Aikea and Gelydh's textures (just copypasta stuff)
- separates and conversions of DAUM stuff
- recolors of Mirake's 8 books in a pile/row mesh, and a working bookshelf based on said mesh. Though the repositorying is giving me a headache because it's more complex than a decorative item and some of it makes NO SENSE AT ALL.
- moar picspam, but I'm trying to hold off on that a little.

THE POINT OF THIS ENTRY: Is there anything I've been promising you guys or you've seen in my pictures that you particularly want? It helps me to have some direction for my priorities.

Hair.

Sorry, I'm pretty excited about it. I've been dyeing it for years, but never so radically, and I've never bleached first. It looked pretty pink last night (there's a picture on GoS of what I mean), but when I woke up this morning afternoon, it was bright eyehurting red, which is what I wanted. I can't stop staring at it. My parents are genteelly horrified. My sister compared me to Ronald McDonald, though I fail to see the clown aspect. And the afro.

Also, I've arbitrarily been working on Body Shop content instead of objects:

My love for old keys is almost a fetish, so of course I went totally overboard, did a ton of these, and then decided they belonged on four other meshes too. I have to fix one after seeing it ingame, but these will likely show up on GoS today or tomorrow.

More also, my wrists kill again. Carpal tunnel? Perhaps. Scary thought.

Edit: Chomping at the bit to say something bitchy here. Something like 'We tend to get upset when people do nothing but ask for shit, disregard our rules repeatedly, and then have the temerity to tell us we're getting mad over nothing.' I'm trying to be good. Promise.

Both an attempt at distraction and something I've been considering doing for awhile, a retexture of Adele's beach umbrella.

Pictures beneath the cut kthx )

Just one texture so far, but there's six or seven more, and I think I'm going to do a grungy version of each as well. So, I guess that's something I could ask about.. would everyone prefer these with a clean (albeit faded) and a grungy version, or just one or the other?

And, uh.. would anyone actually use these? :P I like to abuse Adele's beach umbrella, but that's just me.

(Reminds me. Reusing Adele's textures is verboten, so I nicked these from Kate at The Fat Strawberry again. She makes such lovely textures.)
