Another exercise in constructive time-wasting

Felt sick this morning, so I went to bed about nine (after being up all night, yes), and just woke up a few hours ago. Being me, I decided that, instead of using this time to do something smart like possibly working on the frigging book, I'd finish a photoshoot I began a couple days ago. Since it's tangentially related to The Story, I decided it still counted as working on the book, and fired up Sims.

I had a vague sense of what I wanted out of this, and had it somewhat planned out, but it ended up being more a chance for me to play with my collection of pose hacks. It also came out rather differently than I'd expected, mainly because I couldn't figure out how to get the sims to do some of the things I wanted. One of these days I'm going to have to sit down with all my hacks and go through them and watch everything they do so I can start learning. In this case, I pretty much ended up doing the same things I always do.

Anyway, here's the rather banal results, in case anyone's interested.

I only just noticed you can't see his face in any of the pictures. I'm going to pretend there's some clever, symbolic reason behind that. I'm also going to pretend that there was a better reason for doing this whole thing than simply dressing up Kate!Sim as a princess.

In other news, I would have such a crush on Marc Almond if he weren't in his fifties and gay. I think I just have a thing for British tenors.

I've been slowly going through your posts and just gasping at how incredible they are! Grabbed a few downloads (I loved the sheet music posters especially) and wondered where some of the decor came from in this shoot? I hope you don't mind my asking...particularly the bed and the sofa at the foot of it and those fantastic candles.

Not a problem (in fact, you reminded me I've been wanting to make a post to that effect for awhile). The bed is by Peggy, and you can find it in the booty (http://paysites.mustbedestroyed.org/booty/peggy/bedrooms/bedroom_03421-03425/"). Be warned it's quite high-poly and the covers don't work. You can find the loveseat by Adele here (http://adele.sims.googlepages.com/archive.html), under 'February'. And the candles (I assume you mean the ones on the loveseat?) are by Shino & KCR at TSR, but of course can be found here (http://paysites.mustbedestroyed.org/booty/tsr/shino%26kcr/), pbbedroom.zip.

Glad you're enjoying my posts. :)

Thank you so much! Too bad about the bed but wow it's lovely and really works in your images! As for the rest, I am happily downloading and appreciate the links very much.
