So robots! They're one of my favorite parts of Open for Business, but the bright Technicolor textures never did it for me. Originally I just did a couple recolors, but then they ended up being all I used so I thought why not make defaults? And here they are.

They're tailored to my aesthetic of old and used but not gross and destroyed, but they're not heavily grunged, so they ought to be suitable for more styles than just mine. For all four varieties, one color of each robot is the same as the original recolors I made years ago, except that they've been updated and improved. The rover bots (cleanbot and hydrobot) are pretty simple, just a faded, somewhat beat-up metal in blue, red, green, and yellow:

The hover bots are a little more complex, with a different colored body and 'eye' (the robot equivalent of eyes, so some sort of camera, I guess) for each. Unlike the rover bots, I didn't stick strictly to the Maxis colors and just made combinations that I liked:

The pads, both rover and hover, are the recolors I made for them way back. Currently the toy robots are not included, though I do plan vaguely to do something with them in the future. Servo is also not included, because there are loads of wonderful Servo default replacements already.

Requires Open for Business. The textures are all in one package, but if people want to mix and match (are there even any other robot replacements available? I've never seen any), I'd be happy to whip up separate packages too.

My goodness, these are perfect! I get a lot of use out of your older recolors, because I have a few inventors in one of my households. Now that I have these, they might just have to open a robot shop. :D

I don't suppose there is any chance you could make a default Servo replacement? Something more android/humanoid looking less goofy Servo looking. Thanks for this mod though, now I just need to reinstall all of it again lolz.

I really wasn't planning on it, because like I said, there's lots of nice Servo replacements already. If you want something more humanoid, I'd recommend checking out Amaryll's androgynous steampunk replacements. I don't personally use any Servo replacement, because I use SimSurgery to make my Servos look human, but there are lots of replacement options available from what I've seen. :)
