Some more decorating, because you guys made the mistake of encouraging me!

I gotta say, I definitely miss Sims 2 because it's just got so much more depth to it (visually and otherwise), but I love the Sims 1 expansions. Apartment Life magic always seemed kind of tacked-on compared to Makin' Magic, and I missed Superstar so much and *rambles*.

Anyway. Pictuuuuuuuuuuuresssssss.

I had forgotten how gorgeous some of the TS1 content was.

That sushi stand, and the spiral stairs, and the bookcase stairs, and the Deco bed, and the birdcages...

Man, for real. I was so disappointed that so little Sims 1 content made it to Sims 2. When I have Sims 2 again I will probably cautiously attempt to mesh some Sims 1 stuff and it will come to nothing but I will MAKE THE EFFORT.

You've influenced me to install the game again with your lovely pics so I am plaing for a couple of days and enjoy :D.

As for mesh converting, I hope you would manage to do everything that you had planned, that would be great - good luck.

God it's just so different looking. I don't hardly remember it looking like that. It's been such a long time.

I agree about the EPs though. That was the only thing I was upset about when TS2 came out. I wanted to be able to do all that stuff still.

Yeah, it's pretty different-looking! It took me awhile to get used to the 'look' again and not be constantly squinting to figure out if something's angle is wrong.

How do you make TS1 look so good?
I never got all the EPs but I remember absolutely loving the Superstar EP. I was really holding out for that one in TS2.

Thank you so much :> I converted a fuck-ton of walls and floors from Sims 2 as well as made a load more of original ones (which will be Sims 2-ified as soon as I'm able) because the game's selection was not great in the way of bright and grungy.

You're making me feel so nostalgic for TS1 - ahhh, happy days! But, your game is more beautiful and stylish than mine ever was - I do love those bookcase stairs!

I never got Makin' Magic, but I too loved Superstar to bits, and I do wish we had something similar for TS2.

Aww, thank you! I love those bookcase stairs too, they're based on textures from another of my favorite games (American McGee's Alice).

Seriously, Sims 2 Superstar would've been swell.

I love this! I never had any cc for TS1, so all the pretties are new to me. And I love your decorating style, even if the camera angle makes me want to scream. :D Silly EAxis.

The camera angle is really, really frustrating from time to time, but overall the fun-ness of the game makes up for it, I think!

i've always wanted to own the sims 1 collection pack (the one with all the add-ons?) but i can't find it anywhere :( i just want to experience the game!

Oh dear :( Well, you might be able to find it on eBay or something?

OMG I miss Superstar so much too...(why didn't they do it for TS2??)
Also Sims 1 has got a very tasteful soundtrack. I actually have the MM and HD mp3 files in my ipod. Oh the good old days!
