So, as some of you know, I've been simming.

After a fashion. Desperation has driven me back to my love of ~~six or seven~~ eight or nine years ago, Sims 1 (Jesus Christ, was it really that long ago? I feel old). I still had all the discs (purchased, even, holy shit! I wasn't always a scummy pirate), and it's old enough to run on this piece of shit, so! It's been surprisingly fun. I've been playing on and off for a couple weeks now. And today I took some pictures, because that's just what I do.

It's difficult to clutter, since move_objects on still doesn't let you stack objects, and there's no snapobjectstogrid equivalent. Obviously the solution is for me to make some cluttery things taking up multiple tiles. And clone them from rugs so that sims can still walk on them.

Yeah. I'll do it later.

But in all seriousness I think you have managed to clutter marvelously, all things considered. And it is BLOWING MY MIND to recognize textures from TS2. 8-x!

I kinda wasn't kidding when I said I never want to listen to anything else again ever. Besides Celldweller.

And yeah! Some of my favorite Sims 2 textures and objects apparently came from Sims 1 and I just forgot about it, like that black painted brick wall and the TV there. But most of the walls and floors were conversions I did in a fit of mad productivity one night.

The nostalgia, it burns :D I had forgotten just how much I loved that game.

Oh for the days where vast amounts of CC could fit on a single disc...a single floppy disc.

(Also that hammock bed is begging to be remade into TS2. SRSLY)

Yessssss. I was actually thinking idly about how to do that earlier (idly since I, um, can't at the moment), and being annoyed that of all the Sims 1 items not to convert for Sims 2 Nofrena had to pick that one.

(I found a disc I apparently burned when I was fourteen of my entire Sims 1 CC directory the other day. The squealing with joy broke some eardrums.)

You've actually done a remarkable job with this! I think I recognise items from TS2 which is just crazy. That little outdoor dining area with the flags is adorable.

Thank you! I do have some Sims 2-for-Sims 1 items, so maybe that's it.

I loved that game too :).The hardest thing to accept with sims 2 was the change of music :p.
I didn't know about cc while playing the first one so my interiors wasn't that lovely as these at your pics.

I agree, I adored the Makin' Magic music! I used to listen to it in my music player just for fun.

That makes me miss sims 1 :( *grumbles about lack of magic EP for sims 2*

Heh I once had a lot with 8 female sims on it, and one of them started a kitchen fire with them all in the kitchen with only one door... I think they all died lol.

Seriously. Apartment Life was great, but Makin' Magic > Apartment Life, hands down.
