Picture post! Been awhile since I did one of those. Probably because it's been awhile since I've allowed myself to play. You may draw your own conclusions as to why because it is related to boring personal reasons.

I felt no particular urge to pick up Gladsheim or Halcyon Point again, so I started fresh with a partial beach hood tentatively named Kingfisher Green. It's quite, quite bare currently-- there's about five lots, and only two sims, Hattie and Jelly. Today I am spamming you with Hattie Bloume's place.

Hattie herself first, because I think she's adorable and so far she's been a hoot. Full name is Hathaway, but she saves it for special occasions. According to the incredibly involved and complex method* I use for determining a sim's role in life and in the neighborhood, Hattie is a seamstress who uses the money she earns selling sewed bits of cloth to fund her campaign for city councilwoman. And she jumps in a lot of puddles. Aside from that, she has a skeptical interest in the occult, so she's known to mess around with tarot and Ouija boards and then freak the fuck out when something actually happens.

Not sure what she was looking at. Anyway, on to the shack. It's one of loco-plus's starter houses, made over because I don't do bright and modern. Often.

The exterior:

Dining room/front hall:

Attached kitchen:

Tiny and fairly sparse bathroom:

Living room, in which much rope is jumped:

Finally, the bedroom, which went the way of Bluebottle's blue dorm room, it seems:

And what an exciting view that is out the windows.

* Look at interests, pick the two highest and somehow combine them, often with ensuing lulz.

I'm working on a few things, but mostly I'm enjoying playing a little again. I hope not to get as sucked in this time, but even if I do, I comfort myself with the knowledge that my sim mania has a cycle, and this must simply be the "OMG I CAN HAS!" stage. And this, too, shall pass. I've also revisited days of gaming past by digging up my Baldur's Gate discs, so I've got that to distract me from writing too.

January fast approaches. I suppose I ought to make up my mind about college.
